Job Title: Entry-level/Trainee Automated Gate Engineer

Location: East Grinstead.
Salary: Starting at £27,500.00 p/a

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Trainee Automated Gate Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a hands-on engineering role, working with automated gate systems, access control, and security solutions.

No prior experience in gate automation is required. Related skills, such as electrical, mechanical or civil engineering can be built on. Full training will be provided. What matters most is a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a practical mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced engineers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gate systems
• Learning to diagnose faults in mechanical and electrical components
• Supporting on-site work across residential and commercial properties
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean working environment

What We’re Looking For

• A keen interest in engineering, electrical, or mechanical work
• Practical skills or hands-on experience (preferred but not essential)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Own transport is essential for travel to job sites
