This project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a bespoke automated entrance gate system for a property located on a high plateau. The exposed setting meant the gates would be subject to consistently strong winds and sudden gusts throughout the year.
From the outset, wind loading was identified as the primary engineering challenge. The solution needed to balance aesthetic appeal, structural reliability, and long-term performance, without compromising security.
1. Airflow-Optimised Gate Design
The gates were engineered with precision-spaced vertical slats to allow the free flow of air through the structure.
